Making History

2008 has marked a very historic time for our company. Artistic Events by Carlyn Berghoff Catering and 17/west at the Berghoff (formerly The Berghoff) have officially joined together and announced a name change; Berghoff Catering & Restaurant Group, Inc.

Carlyn Berghoff has successfully owned and operated Artistic Events, a leading Chicago-based catering company since 1986. In 2006 Carlyn bought the assets of the famed 107-year old Chicago restaurant, The Berghoff, from her parents upon their retirement. Soon after, Berghoff opened her own restaurant formally known as 17/West at the Berghoff. Both catering and restaurant operations are presently conducted out of the renowned Berghoff location at 17 W. Adams.

Tradition with a Twist

At Berghoff Catering & Restaurant Group we will continue to maintain our standard of excellence through our catered events. We are committed to cultivating cutting-edge cuisine, meticulous service and trend defining presentation. We consider it a privilege to continue the traditions of excellence associated with The Berghoff family name, while adding our own contemporary twists. The Berghoff Group

The Berghoff Catering & Restaurant Group is the new company name encompassing 17/West at the Berghoff, the Berghoff Café, the Bar at the Berghoff and popular Chicago catering company Artistic Events by Carlyn Berghoff. The business headquarters, located at the historic Berghoff building at 17 West Adams St. is composed of two divisions; Berghoff Catering and Berghoff Restaurant. Berghoff Group is a minority owned and operated business.
